Hi all! I would like to share my last experience at Madrid Hermes boutique.
I placed my wish some months ago and I was so happy when my SA called me saying he had something very special for me.
When I arrived he showed me this so special Birkin 30 in swift leather with a pocket in the front…
This was everywhere in internet as it was last Kylie Jenner’s birthday present… hers in gold color…
I know it is special and I am sure if I wanted to make money from the bag reselling it .. I could easiely….
But I buy bags for my use and frankly… it didn’t ring the bell at all to me… so I refused..
When I will be offered again I have no idea… maybe long months ahead… maybe I should have taken it???
What are your thoughts?

If it's not your taste and you want a bag for your own enjoyment, turning it down was the right call. Sure, you could probably resell it, but why take on that risk? Wait for the bag you can't wait to carry!

I undestand you - buying a B just for the sake of having one is surely a motivation, but if you don't love it, why waste the money. So I think you did the right thing. A bag at this price point should make your heart sing.
That said: resell market isn't that hot anymore. We might not recognize it in Birkins yet, but a look at luxury watches and other covetable items speaks volumes.

(and frankly I find that bad not very appealing, too).

I admire your self-confidence.
It is a horrid bag.
You will be respected for your integrity in sticking to what you like
and not being an opportunist for a quick flip
your next offer will come sooner than you might expect

Idk. I'm not really a fan of this design. My philosophy is that you should know immediately whether you love it or not. I find that if I have slight doubts about anything, it's just not worth purchasing as I will not wear it. Since you were hesitant about this offer, I think you made the right call in refusing it. Don't think too hard and just go with the flow haha.

Thank you all for giving your opinion. I think it might be a nice bag for someone looking for something different, and there is a taste on each one. I feek better now as I thought maybe I am stupid for refusing such a special bag!!!!!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ thank you really!!! Can’t wait for my next call 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

To me its a Frankenstein Birkin and has no redeeming features..Well except I do like Swift.
But wether I like it or not is immaterial.
You didn't like it and that alone is reason to say no.
I think you made the right decision and Your next offer will probably be faster than you expect.
I also believe that SA's respect clients that turn down offers because it shows they aren't in it for the flip and buy them to use and cherish.
I don't think this bag would be an easy sell on the resale market either..Most people willing to pay a premium probably wouldn't have this bag on their radar.
