I know it's a BIT more than your limit, but i think your wife would love it.. gorgeous bag, leather (unlike the normal Speedy's), and no monogram. Very classic and will never go out of style.. I love the red myself! Would look great with a mostly neutral wardrobe!

OK, now you all have done it.

I've gotta say, the LV Epi Leather Speedy 25 is perfecto. My choice would be the red.

How do I find one for less than $880? My wife will kill me if I drop that kind of cash on a bag for her, even though she would totally love it.

I LOVE the red Speedy too, it's so classy and timeless, goes with a lot and can be used in formal and casual settings! The Epi leather is durable and easy to care for. Great choice!!:tup: (sammydoll, you rock for this great recommendation!!)

The only places to buy new LV are in LV boutiques or eLuxury, so unfortunately, that doesn't give you options if you want to pay less.

You can look on eBay but be advised there are TONS of fake bags there and it's a crap shoot about finding one in excellent condition. It can be done, but it may take time to find a bag and price you like.

Yay! Glad i picked a winner, even if it's over the $ limit! (i'm good at that, haha)

I'll keep an eye out of eBay for you.. unforunatly, that's really the only way to get one under retail. And remember to check any auctions in the Louis Vuitton authentication thread here on Purse Forum before you bid!

This is the Rebecca Minkoff Mini Morning After Bag - it comes in two sizes and this is the smaller version. It seems that she doesn't carry big bags, so this maybe the right size. It's priced retail at $550.00 and I think there is a coupon code for new customers - maybe 25% off? I could be wrong, but I'm sure the other tpfers will chime in.
There is no logo on this bag, it's handmade, the leather is wonderful to the touch and it does exude a feeling of luxury without the large price tag. Comes in different colors.

I found the Purse Forum through google. Well, I found the blog first, which led me to the forum. I'm very glad that I posted.

I may just have to splurge and buy the LV through Bloomingdales. Thanks for the help and the information.

Tod and Hogan bags are very classic looking. They are made of beautiful leather and are not monogrammed. They are pricey, but there is a great outlet in Cabazon, Ca. and they will take phone orders if you have an idea of what you are looking for. You can find different styles online.
Also, if she likes Coach, the large ergo hobo in black leather would be a nice choice.

I completely understand... my budget is usually limited to 200 dollars and on eBay. :crybaby:I usually tend to avoid Bloomingdale's and other high end stores mostly because they are out of my price range and the sales people tend to pressure me into purchases that I regret later.

I would definitely check out the SALE sections of very high end stores' sites like Neimanmarcus.com, saks.com, bergdorfgoodman.com, eluxury.com, net-a-porter.com, etc. (It's worth looking through these sale sections, because you can find the best deals!)

There are definitely a lot of listings on eBay for cheaper than 600... I think. You can also get the mini monogram Speedy. It's unique and adorable!
