I want to get the 10 motif. Should I get MOP or Guilloche?

I keep seeing online videos that the MOP gets damage over time but it is less costly and looks gorgeous.
The Guilloche I have the 5 motif bracelet and love it. Wish I got the 10 motif instead.

What are your thoughts?

Sounds like you love MOP, get that since you already have the guilloche. Since MOP is so delicate I think having it as a necklace or earrings is a more care-free choice.

I own both the MOP and Guilloche --2/10's of both. MOP does not get damaged over time unless the owner is careless with it IMO.
I wear all my VCA frequently and never get it wet. I assume it would be fine to get Guilloche wet but I have no need to do that.
My MOP 10 motif was my 2nd purchase in 1997-1998. I also purchased 2 of the Yellow gold Turquoise pendants (one for my daughter) not long after that. I cannot remember what year and my papers & receipts are in my safe at my home in another state. I think it was 1997 & 1998. Here is what my MOP (2/tens/yellow gold) look like today. They have been worn frequently.

Guilloche is more practical and prettier in my opinion. Now you can lengthen the 10 motif to a 15 since you have the matching bracelet or wear it as a set. I like MOP and have two items but MOP is definitely delicate as my bracelet has shrunk over time.

Edit to add I was extremely careful with my MoP and never wore it in water.

yeah i go swimming frequently so i'm thinking of just saving up and getting the whole set

I love 10 Mop! Finally purchased it last year before the latest price increase at NY Flagship store, wear it almost daily and I am in a healthcare ( hiding under my clinical attire so partially visible).
I also love sometimes to add my 5 motif for a variety , giving it a different look
Great timeless classic, can’t go wrong with it , good luck deciding !

I am exactly in the same boat. I purchased YG guilloche earrings last year and I'm so hooked on VCA now. I want to buy a 10 motif necklace to complete my set but am tempted to go for the Guilloche bracelet because it's a bit more affordable. I think the upcoming price increase is also driving my purchase decision.

Any suggestions on whether to go for the Guilloche YG bracelet or 10 motif would be appreciated!

I got the Guilloche YG bracelet and to be honest I regret it. Should have gone with the 10 motif. I am getting the 10 motif in a few days

Ah! I feel the same way. The only problem is I have been informed by my SA (im based in London FYI) that due the upcoming price increase this month, the avg time to receive a YG guilloche 10 motif necklace is 8 months!! I wonder what happens if i place a partial deposit and the price increases further - would I need to pay the higher price? I would love to see a picture of your set when you have your necklace! I'm sure it's going to be a stunner!

You have to ask your SA about that. I see every place is different. I am excited to get mine but it will be a few months as well.

My first decision point was YG hammered or YG Guilloche. Once I put on the Guilloche it was no contest. My first purchase with the 10-motif necklace, which VCA lengthened slightly (by about 1/2”) in order for it to lie optimally on my neck. Then I bought the 5-motif bracelet and combined with the 10-motif necklace it gives your more options. Finally, I bought a second 10-motif necklace and string all three pieces together for a necklace that I can double up. I love it. It makes an outfit. These purchases took me about 2 years. I only bought the second 10-motif necklace because my SA alerted me to last fall’s price increase. As others have said, enjoy your purchase whichever way you go.
