So I have mentioned this before but just so you're aware.. I'm a straight guy but I tend to buy women's bags.. Right now I'm searching for some totes and normally don't buy shoulder bags with long straps or more crossbody designs because i tend to like top handles and short drop bags but I find the triple flap design of this bag along with the technology compartments really attractive in the silver/blue color..

Now I am rarely a fan of Fossil because they're styled for a targeted interest maybe more urban or rugged than most but I like this purse. The thing is I can't convince myself to spend $180.00 on this bag. I guess I feel the bag is overpriced or that it can be had cheaper somehow.. I'm not really convinced Fossil bags are worth the same kind of money you would spend for a Coach bag and related designers that have a plethora of bag options for the same cost especially at their outlet stores.

I was thinking about waiting until it hit the Fossil outlet stores but there's no telling if that bag will make it there or when that will happen... I guess if the bag was around $100.00 I wouldn't be so hesitant to grab it.. As for my original search, I was looking at the Coach Swagger 27 with Rainbow Stitching in Camel which I believe is worth the money they're asking.. I'm also looking at the Coach Colette Satchel which is an older style but still likable..

Your thoughts?

Fossil goes on sale on the regular. I can grab them easily for half off at Dillards. However, as with sales and waiting, you can't always get the exact bag you want, right? I do think for $180 it is a little more than I would also like to spend on it.

Thanks for the feedback. And I totally agree about the price consideration which is why I'm holding off. It's a risk because you're right, who knows if the bag will go on sale and where, but I would imagine once it ages, it will become available somewhere cheaper. Half price would sure be nice.

Agreed. I was going to say the same.

Dang! That's a great looking crossbody! Crossbody purses are my favorite style. I love being hands free when I'm out and about. I agree that you should be able to pick this purse up for less than the MSRP.

Let me add my Fossil endorsement: I have a black Fossil crossbody that I bought 5+ years ago for travel. That purse has been on a LOT of journeys. I love its size (can hold an upright water bottle and small umbrella) and that it flies under the radar. No flashy logos, etc, to call attention to me. Nice thick leather so that the strap or bag itself would not be easily slashed and taken. Slim enough to fit under one of my jackets if the area is sketchy. It's a great little bag!

Good luck in your quest. I hope you find the bag at a price you're happy with! :)

I really like the bag too (especially in the light grey) but both cws are nice

I agree with everyone, if the price is too rich, wait and see if it goes on sale or sign up to a newsletter and see if they do one of the percentage of day deals

I agree.
The bag is pretty awesome. And it's a double flap but it has the appearance of triple. I just like it but I need it at like half the price. I'll monitor it but anyone interested should bookmark it and monitor it too. :)

I just wanted to add it appears this bag comes in two different sizes and the color tone I posted is available in both. I didn't see the larger one on fossil.com but it certainly is carried by Macy's and other retailers.

The smaller bag dimensions are 8.5"L x 4.75"W x 8"H.
The larger bag dimensions are 12-3/4"W x 8"H x 4-3/4"D.

You can see the larger one here which only adds to the idea both need to come down in price
