I want a Gucci Ophidia bag. Help me choose pls

I would love to add a Gucci Ophidia bag in my collection. I am choosing between the Small Camera Bag (not Mini) or the Small Dome Bag.

Aesthetically, the Dome bag looks more attractive to me. However, I heard problems on peeling corners. Is this a defect on a certain batch of production or common wear & tear to all Dome bags. I also have an LV Alma BB so not sure if this would be too similar.

The Camera style is also nice but I have not seen this bag in person. This would also fit more stuff since bigger in size but. I find this bag too casual looking and cannot be worn day to night.

Other designs of Ophidia line are beyond my budget.

They’re both pretty classic. You can’t go wrong! I would buy the camera bag just for the outside pocket.

It seems like you already have two camera style bags (Gucci Marmont and Soho Disco) so I'd go with the dome shaped one.. I personally also think the size of the camera bag looks a bit off

I had the camera bag. The size is perfect in my view. It fits the standard size ipad pro. It looks great on the shoulder and as a clutch, but it is also useful crossbody.
I don't know about the corners of the dome one, they do look a bit fragile. You won't have that problem with the camera. In both cases, the leather parts will discolor, at least in my experience.
Neither is a day to night bag in my view.

Dome shaped Ophidia has folded corner so it all depends if you use your bag with some caution. I had the Ophidia mini one but the screw kept falling out. Personally, I would pick the dome shape one. Good luck!

Thank you everyone! The dome bag is winning in this thread and I am still liking the bag. Though, I am still hesitant due the the potential issue on peeling corners. Also, I saw this Dionysus WOC (not from Ophidia line) which I added as an option since it has the Gucci canvas pattern but no green/red webbing.

All beautiful bags. If you’re hesitant of dome because of corners avoid it. I just saw someone with camera style and it looked really cool. I love the Dionysus line but if you’re looking for everyday bag, will a WOC be large enough? I looked at the leather Dionysus woc and it was too small for my needs. (I ended up with a larger size). Good luck deciding.

Its not one of your contenders, but I have the Ophidia belt bag and it feels indestructible. I also have a vintage crossbody from my mom and it’s still in good condition, but the interior microfiber lining is flaking off so that would be my only complaint. Overall, I would stay with the Ophidia line over the Dionysus but I like the classics.

The dome shape is nice, but I voted for the square camera bag (I like that shape better). The square shape looks like it will fit more and has that outer zipper. In the end it's you who ultimately has to choose though. If you're unsure of the dome shape in regards with damage, you may have your answer right there. Update us with which you choose!!
