I shouldn't be paying for a repair????

    I took am item to be looked at by a specialist today into store and had to leave the item for them to look at. I only ordered it online on the 28th February 2014 and arrived around the 6th March. So it's just over 1 week old. I've just looked at the receipt they gave me to confirm that they have it and I've seen it's said that the estimate repair cost will be £61.00 .

    They never said there would be a cost. Surely I'm not expected to pay for the repair?

  3. I can't call as it's shut now. It's the 6 key holder. On the receipt it says the inside mobile panel needs changing.
     
  4. You may not have to pay anything at all. The receipt that I received for having the strap repaired on my Galliera listed the price but I didn't have to pay for the repair. I'd just give them a call to clarify when the store opens.

  6. Telephone to double check. Even my replacement item receipts have the price on them (even though I didn't pay anything).
     
  7. I've also gotten one of my wallets repaired- after 3 years of use, the snap button closure on my French wallet was falling apart. The receipt showed a price for the repair service but I didn't pay anything. I just thought it was a protocol for any repair done. Do call first thing in the morning to get it off your mind!

  14. +2. I agree with this poster. I had a bag repaired and there was a estimated price on my receipt but I didn't have to pay. I think it's just how they keep track of their costs for repairs.
