I was trying to clean the hardware to get rid of fingerprints and dust especially in the crevices of the CC’s and I accidentally scratched it. I am devastated. It’s not too bad as it’s not down to the metal so the color is still in the scratch but I need someone to talk me off the proverbial ledge here lol
This is my all time FAV bag and was in pristine condition. You can’t really notice them unless you hold it up to the light and look for them.
What do you guys think? Should I just get over it because it’s not that bad or jump off the roof?
(I’m def kidding about the roof - just SUPER upset lol)

You should get over it! (I know it hurts a little, I did the same thing)

I scratched the Rose Gold Hardware on my Birkin via overzealous polishing. It’s exactly as you said, you only notice it when you stare and hold it up to the light, so stop doing that! No one’s ever going to notice it and you will stop looking for it eventually. Stay Strong!

The scratches are the beauty of the bag. No one has the same bag as you now. The marks make your bag unique and you know it's well loved. Enjoy the beauty!
Thank you for this ♥️

You really helped me with this reply, thank you ♥️

I really agree with this. You might have a "flight" instinct at first, but instead, re-bond and treasure it as truly yours.

Yes I most certainly did. But comments such as yours has helped me so thank you!

:hugs:

Only one thing for it: Wear it twice as much and really enjoy using it.
I love this. Thank you for your response ♥️

Kudos to you for taking such amazing care of this beautiful bag. What is it 6/7 years old?!? It looks immaculate. Enjoy the bag! It’s beautiful with what looks like very minor (barely noticeable) scratches.
Oh thank you so much! Yes it’s from 2016 Cruise. This one in particular I kept immaculate so I was upset when I scratched it

I am laughing because I opened a thread like this exactly 4 years ago. Scratched my brand-new mini because it fell and skid across an entire road. Face forward.

If you search for scratched turn lock you’ll for sure find it. I’ve learned to live with it and just ignore it because replacing it would be too much trouble, and I know that I can still do so further down the line. I’d say just enjoy the bag!

Oh no! I’m sure you were very upset when it happened, but I’m happy to hear that you learned to live with it. That’s what I’m also trying to do! Thank you for sharing!
