Which ring should I pick? I need to make decision today :-(

Both rings are Tiffany

1-) Classic 6 prongs :
Round : 1.55 carat
GIA Cert from 2002. Doesn't have much infor , just basic like depth, table , crown angle .
Cut, Polish, Sym: very good.
VS1 . I color
The seller want $14,000
Have GIA and Tiffany Certificate .

2) tiffany ribbon ring
1.11 carat
Everything is Ex.
I checked HCA score 3 Ex.
VS1, G color.
Seller want $14,000.

The only thing I concern is the first one is I color , would it make the ring less beautiful? The GIA doesn't have Pavilion angle so I can't check HCA score.

Ladies here please help me pick ! TIA!

Thanks ame, what do you think about the price of the ribbon ring? I just called the store for similar ring 1.08 G color , VVS2 for $23,300 pre rax.

Cherrycookies : yes I am not getting ring from Tiffany store. The price is way too far for my budget now. :-(. I know but I like the Tiff's rings.

I, too, vote neither. For that sort of money, you're not getting enough information or the quality that you're purchasing. I would want exact numbers, angles and more information before dropping that kind of money. Find something you LOVE.

If you love tiff rings, get something you love from the stores itself. Yes, it may not be the specs you wanted but at least you are guaranteed authenticity & can pick out the ring yourself.

I think you are probably getting caught up in the 'getting a deal' excitement. Stones aside, these are very different ring designs. If cost/availability wasn't a factor, which design do you prefer?

About the price, these are not very good deals for used rings at all. For the classic solitaire, I'm guessing that is the full price he paid back in 2003. In 2007 my Tiffany 1.33ct H VS1 cost 16,100 directly from Tiffany's. A typical resale value for a tiffany engagement ring is unfortunately much closer to 50%.

Keep shopping in my opinion.

You mean that the reasonable price for this ring should be half price in 2007 when it was sold? Just wonder would it be practical since the diamond price has increase a lot plus the inflation. I prevously bought a prelove tiffany ring and only compared the price with same quality diamonds quoted in other reputable seller websites. If it's cheaper a bit then I am ok with it.
