Omg..I love love love this forum!!:yahoo:
I`ve been drooling over all the love bracelets and I`ve been wanting one for yearssssss...I was so close to getting one..but then..

I work in the health profession :(
I hear that the point of the bracelet is that you won`t be able to take it off and that you would have to wear it everyday...

does that mean I shoulnd`t get it cuz I would be wearing gloves everyday and I don`t want blood over it....

or can the bracelet be easily taken off...

I don't have one but from what I understand you remove it by undoing a screw. So the question is ... how handy are you with a screwdriver and will it drive you screwy?

I work in the health care profession too- well over 10 years and have even taught infection control practises.

I don't understand your comment about the blood. Regardless of whether you wear a bracelet or not, if you're getting blood on your wrist, then what type of infection control precautions are you practising?

Personally, based on the type of occupation you have in the healthcare field, would determine what kind of jewelry you wear.

If you're coming into contact with copious amounts of blood, which it sounds like you do, then getting someone like the cuff would probably be the most beneficial for you. You can slip it on and off and just stick it in your scrub pockets when you need to work with a patient.

I have 2 love bracelets and they haven't been off my wrist in over 2 years.

I definitely couldn't imagine taking this off every day for work or even on a weekly basis. Too much work. Its definiely a a bracelet you commit to wearing for awhile.

Get the cuff, and get a size or two bigger. You can slide it up your arm or just take it off anytime you want. I have no problem whatsoever putting mine on. Just relax and put a bit of lotion on your wrist if you are worried about getting scratched by the opening. It took me a couple of times to get used to it but now I put it on and take it off literally in 2 seconds.
