I know that some styles are classic and timeless while others may look dated from time to time. I purchased a Madison Lindsey in Python and have always loved it but now I wonder if the shape looks dated in any way. Python is trending lately again like it was in 2012 but I don't see anything this shape or style lately. I love its lightness, texture, and roominess but I would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you so much fellow TPFrs.ImageUploadedByPurseForum1431610409.477421.jpg

I love animal prints and I love this purse. I've never seen this particular style before.

My honest opinion is I love it but I'm personally tired of seeing this particular python print at the moment. I feel like I've seen it a lot. I live in a warm place so maybe it's because lighter purses have a longer shelf life around here. I would absolutely keep it but my snake would hibernate for a bit because I need just a little absence to make my heart grow fonder of seeing it again.

My honest opinion is that only a TINY fraction of the population is aware of *the latest trend* and would even bat an eye, let alone think, OMG that bag is SO 4 years ago.

I freaking love bags (obviously, that's why we're all on here). But I never look at fashion mags, and I don't get how a bag style can get "dated". Most people don't know when the heck they came out. Plus if it's something that seems obviously connected to an older decade, it's "retro" or "vintage" at that point. Which is cool.

Satchels and python print are still very much on trend. But if you are unsure, take her out for a test run and see how you feel. If it doesn't give you the warn and fuzzies like it used to, sell her!

I have this in the Sophia version, and it still gets compliments when I wear it.

Thank you, it was a hot bag in 2012 and I loved that it held my iPad so easily. She's been hibernating (lol) for quite some time so I guess it's time to take her out again. You are right I am seeing this print a lot lately too.

Thank you, I love the retro vintage idea, I'm pretty vintage myself come to think of it. I am going to have to use her again, it's been a while.

Thank you, I love your idea about taking her out and see if it's still love. She's been in my closet for a long time in her dust bag. I love the Sophia version of the bag, it's very beautiful. The Lindsey is a bit large but I tend to carry everything I can possibly think of with me at all times.

I have a soft spot for python and most of the other coach "exotics" so I say carry it if you love it. I have a mix of old and new, and I carry what I like. Nobody in my area would even know or care if I was on trend anyway. ;)

The Sophia is one of my favorite Coach styles of all time. Lindsey doesn't work as well for me, but it is a similar style and I think it is classic. I can't imagine it ever looking dated. Python may be more in style at times than others but I don't think it will ever disappear from current styles. I love the woven handles on your bag.

I sold some of my Sophias and only kept two. They sold quickly which makes me think the style is still popular.

Thank you, you are right, it's the same here where I live. I love Python too, I have the multi color Python Crosby and I absolutely love that bag. It's so funny how I plan my outfits just so I can wear her. I think I just had this bag put away too long so I need to start using her again and enjoy her.

Thank you, I love the Sophia style also and it's one of my favorites. I originally bought the Lindsey because my iPad fit in there perfectly for work. I love the handles too, it's Really a light comfortable bag to carry. I think I am ready to start using her again,
