I have a rather vast collection of handmade art jewelry and one of a kind crystal studded stars with equally elaborate and unique chokers and bead strings for each.

I prefer to lay them out in individual poses as to keep them dust and collision free and I don't often take them on trips because there are quite a few of them, however I am about to embark on a month-long tour and I will want these all with me for piece of mind and variety.

My problem is, I have one Betsey Johnson bag that will pass as a carry on if I want and would prefer not to check and a roomy Louis Vuitton handbag that I would also be keeping with me and has some space. I have not decided yet on whether or not I am taking my vintage alligator carry-on, but if I do, this means I will be checking my Betsey Johnson roller.

I need a hard non-plastic divider/jewelry case that will not only allow me to spread my pieces out and keep them separated so that they don't collide, but it has to be roomy enough to fit the larger pieces, which in some cases are 3 1/2 inches across. I also need this case to fit in my roller, or if I have to check it, be able to slip into my LV, or my vintage carry-on.

I would also like to be able to slip in a few rings, earrings and a couple of bracelets.

I would prefer a nice design, nothing like a caboodle, or anything. I want it to look good and it can't allow sunlight. I should mention that the stars can be fragile if mis-handled or improperly stored.

I don't own a jewelry box and as a result, my pieces are sort of unorganized, so this is a foray into the unknown for me.

Any suggestions?

((The attached photo is a typical large star without the matching choker, which is a bit more cumbersome than the pendant itself, they won't actually lay in a straight line))

I looked through those and they were more geared towards rings. I looked at Keli's Kreations too, for her accordion travel case, but while the size is manageable, it only seems to have 4 insert slots, which is not enough. =(
