Found the bag shown (in attached different listing because I cant take pictures right this second) for less than $300 from a brand new seller with ONE photo, almost no description.

Got it today, and it has every single checkmark for authenticity…except the label has been completely removed. NOT mentioned in the listing.

Would you keep and enjoy or return, just on general principles? The City is also not my favorite shape. IMG_8138.pngIMG_8137.jpeg

Depends on if you care about resale. If you do, and given that City is not your favorite, return it.

But I can tell you that I love this style and looked for a long time for a good deal on it and was thrilled to find one for under $700. I'd have snapped this one up in a second, even without the tag. I would not care about resale hassle as I'd plan to keep it. But I really love this bag to begin with. You've got to love it to keep it with this kind resale stigma.

I don’t like the handles-and-strap thingie. It looks awkward to me.

And most of the detachable Bal straps are too long for me, I don’t do crossbody or shoulder bags that come down too far. The strap on this is short enough to be comfortable, so I can either compromise on my feelings about the flopping handles, or detach the strap and use it like a Boston bag.
