Congrats! Yes, it is carry-on size. I fly a lot, and I always bring it on the plane with me. It does fit under the airplane seat, so you don't have to put it in the overhead compartment and worry about other people shoving their bags into your keepall. The only time that it may not fit under the seat is on those tiny airplanes that only carry about 30 or so passengers.
