I just messed up my hillier

My hillier hobo had a pen mark, so I used leather conditioner/cleaner wipes to take it off. Guess what, the leather color came off a bit. Now it looks like there is an area that is faded. I am so mad at myself. This is my favorite bag. Yes, the pen mark came off, but so did some color.What should I do? Have I ruined the bag forever????
