Scarves I have a specific idea of the design I´d like on my carré 90 but how to even find it?

I want a classic equestrian theme, with some marron beige brown orangey tones and a bit of royal blue to contrast...
The scarves are only seasonal right? Should I just go to a boutique and ask for that? Or browse vintage listings online?

Both options should yield results. There’s almost always an equestrian themed scarf in the seasonal line up - I’d suggest looking at the ‘Forever’ designs if you want something classic. These are reissues of iconic designs in what the maison considers quintessential colourways.

Current season, you might want to take a look at Couvertures et Tenues du jour bandana, double-face.

There’s a one-sided version (the original layout, not the bandana remix version) from a previous season that may still be in boutiques (it’s still online in Canada).

Attelage en arbalete has no blue, but otherwise checks some of the boxes and is similarly still available in the current ‘forever’ line-up

For more colour/less open space, Flora et Plata is a current season design with some rich colourways in the marron/beige/terre/orange space, and is a more contemporary equestrian interpretation which ties beautifully. I have my eye on a couple when I get a chance to try them. The rosewood one has beautiful deep blue accents, and there’s a warm orange/caramel/brown one too.

There are many vintage and past season options. The challenge will be stopping at one!

Hope this helps, and please do let us know what you end up choosing!

Here's my approach:

The biggest challenge will be the colorway (CW), which is seasonal as well. The H.com website have some accented with a more teal blue that might be interesting to you.

If you're set on royal blue, I'd start browsing vintage pieces to figure out which CWs suit what you're looking for, then refer back to that season's thread here to see which designs were produced. If there's no success that way, colors will get repeated in different CWs (albeit with occasional variation), so if you find a blue you like, but not CW, you can also search the color to see if it was released in a different CW in a different season. The color may vary a bit year to year though, but if say, bleu cobalt is the shade of blue you're looking for, that can be something to search as well.

More seasoned members can probably point you to specific CWs/seasons/designs, but I kind of enjoy the process, even if my wallet does not.

It’s definitely a research project, but a fun one if you love Hermes scarves.

Another option would be to scroll through the seasonal scarf threads here on tPF (two seasons each year) for last year and maybe the year prior because sometimes boutiques have scarves from previous seasons still available. Once you have a reference number (it starts with H) an SA may be able to help you locate one. Good luck!
