So, my vernis Alma came in the mail today. I was wondering how to attach the clochette. I think I have a pretty good idea just by looking at it but I want to make sure as I don't want to bend/ruin the leather.

What is the slit inside for (the one at the bottom hiding in the bell-shaped leather), I think it's for the keys, do I just attach the keys there throught its ring.

Sorry I feel so stupid.

I felt exactly the same..... but I got my SA to do it for me :p What colour did you get?

I'm sure someone will come along with pearls of wisdon to help you!

LOL. You would think that we should know but when I opened the alma and found the clochette lying there inside the bag, it confuses me on how to use it. I've seen a lot of almas but never really thought about that little thing, how it attaches, what's its purpose...until the moment I saw it there inside my new alma. lol.

OMG! Thank you so much, FreshLilies!!!
I really appreciate you doing this, Im sure you'll help a lot of tpfer.
BIG THANKS!!! :hugs:

Good thing because that isn't how I was planning to do it. lol. I thought I just need to loop the tip to the hardware and loop it in the slit. Never thought I need to put the whole bell into the slit.
About the keys, I cant figure out how you looped the keys. It looks like it is tied around the key ring??

No problem! :hugs:
Mine came on the fob so I didn't personally put them on, but it looks like they slid the ring with the keys onto the strap and then looped that whole thing around itself. Which I have no idea how. The slit on that is sooo tiny. I'm sure you could just put the ring with the keys onto the slit kinda like a key chain and it would be fine. If that makes any sense :p

You need to put the keys into strap before doing steps 1-5. Sorry I don't have any alma, but have clochettes on my Suhali & Antheia. Hope my pics help.

1/ Put key ring through strap with short slit.
2/ Loop strap through slit.
3/ Thread strap into key bell.
4/ Attach to handle as per step 1 - 5.
