Can be a bag for formal parties ( Weddings, Engagement parties, classy restaurants ETC )
Can be comfortable every time handled
Can be a work bag and everyday bag

Speedy sounds like a fit - a Neverfull or totally is not for formal events though great for travel. Monty is cute, though it will patina. You can try for pre-loved also.

Probably speedy 30 damier is ideal for all the points you mentioned above. Still, not sure about weddings though.

Its a little over the 1k budget, but I think the Westminster PM would satisfy mot of your other requirements - but I'm a bit biased since I just got the westminster for Xmas.

Damier ebene speedy 30 may fit the bill IMO.

I don't think there is one. I think the Idylle Speedy in Fusain could do it, but it is $1,250. If you could stretch your budget a little it would be worth it.
