I decided on the panthere necklace… but which?!

I made a post recently needing help deciding between the panthere and clash necklace (THANK YOU for anyone who helped me narrow down my decision!). I went to the boutique today to check out the panthere again, when I saw the panthere head necklace sitting in the case (or as I call it… the Cave of Wonder because that‘s what it reminds me of ) and now I’m not sure which one I like more! I’ll include stock photos of each and one sorta action shot of me holding up both today at the boutique. I appreciate all input!

Also I always feel the need to add, I am super casual and this would be an everyday piece! I think both are versatile though and can see effortlessly wearing either of these necklaces.

I prefer the whole cat plus the chain is more interesting than the other.
I don't feel for the head-only. maybe the latter looks better as a ring than on the neck.

Thank you for responding! I just want to say in defense of the Cave of Wonder (it’s just what I call it now), it’s very hard to photograph! Even as I’m looking at the pic now, I feel like you don’t get the real feel for it when not in person.


Side note, did you know when you book an appt at Cartier they limit you to 30 minutes? I could have stared at these cats for an hour!

Hmmm hard choice. The head only looks very edgy & bold. More harsh almost.
The whole panther is lithe & elegant.
Both look very nice on you, can't go wrong w either one.
However the head looks almost more like a pendant on a chain, whole cat is more of a necklace.

Only 30 mins, that's not very long at all! Can you go back to try them on again? Maybe w a different neckline? Or someone irl who can help you decide?

Thank you! Yes I have an appt to go back. My husband was with me but we both really like both necklaces. I agree about the body one looking more elegant and dainty and the head has a more cool vibe. I really can’t decide and neither can he. I told him the obvious choice in this case is to get both

Tough choice between the 2 since they are both so gorgeous. I love #2 but if this is an everyday necklace I lean towards #1. I feel like it’s a more casual necklace where #2 is a bit more dressy, if that makes sense. You really can’t go wrong with either!

I’m not a fan of the first (head) one. There are too many other brands doing similar/same necklace (Louis Vuitton, Gucci). I’ve even seen costume jewelry at Macy’s that looks like a copy of it. Too ordinary imo. Full panther is unique and beautiful.

This is a really good point, thanks! I didn’t think of that before but I can sort of see that. I feel like that’s the case with lots of designer pieces unfortunately.

I love the head. It’s more modern and edgy looking and it works more for the casual every day look. The whole cat to me is a dated design and it’s hard to make out what it is from further away.

I got to chime in and say the head is actually super cute when you look at it face on. It doesn’t show as much worn but I do like him a lot. And today my SA told me it’s being discontinued. The whole Panthere is very pretty as well, this one is on the delicate chain and has the matching bracelet. I am not helping at all.
