I Can't Believe Ebay's Fees!

I have been selling for quite a while (a few items here and there, mostly bags and jewelry) but have never paid attention to the fees.
This morning I sold a pair of earrings and the final value fee is about 10%! Unbelievable... I was shocked and very disheartened.

I know, I was looking at possibly selling a bag i have, but when i saw it was going to cost wayyyyy more money than i was willing to spend just to sell it, i decided to just keep it. Its just WRONG how much it costs.

I do not list anything without using the fee calculator. Google "ebay paypal fee calculator" and start from there.

I agree- their fees are definitely getting outrageous. Then on top of that you have to add PayPal fees.

The fees on ebay are ridiculous! I wasn't able to sell a bag on bonanzle for a long time so I got desperate and listed it on ebay. The bag went for $250 and the fee was $27....crazy!

Totally outrageous fee's They know they can charge what they want and with no real competitor as of yet it's their rules.

The fees aren't going up in April, they are dropping. For fixed price auctions there is a cap of $50..I have paid close to $100 in final value fees on fixed price auctions. Auction style are pretty much staying the same.

The $50 cap is great if you sell pricy bags. If you sell cheaper items, then it's like the fees are going up. It's all relative.

IIRC 9% with a $50 cap. There is a thread on here somewhere about all the details.
