Hi All!
I just found out that I can wear earrings again after 14 years of not wearing them (weird medical thing that was a complete mix up - long story)!

What do you suggest I buy first? I want to do sterling silver or gold (no matter what variation of gold) - good quality since I am still a little leery and want to stay away from other cheap metals.

I have one pair that I have kept all these years because they had sentimental value and can't see myself wearing them every day.

Help! What is cool now in earrings? I am pretty daring with accessories, so bring it on!

Your so lucky. During my first pregnancy something happened and I couldn't wear earring from that point on...a freak allergy...till I found titanium earrings in europe. Nothing special, but prevent me from feeling bare.
If your still leary I would say go with gold, not silver.

I vote for diamond studs. You cannot go wrong and there are so many choices of settings. Someone on this forum has an allergy to gold and can only wear platinum, so you might want to consider it or palladium (which is MUCH cheaper). Good luck and please share when you find your perfect pair :)

I had problems with my ears caused by silver earrings, and the consultant Dr told me to wear "only high quality gold" ie 18 carat. But different people have different sensitivities.

Yay, that's so exciting!! I would go for gold but everyone is different in terms of allergies/sensitivity, so I'd ask your doctor first before spending any money. I would get a really nice pair of hoops or diamond studs for your first pair. Have fun shopping!! :smile1:
