I finally got my long vintage yg with onyx alhambra necklace last night at Van Cleef's. I am absolutely in love with it and don't regret my purchase. However, can anyone tell me if they don't make them as well as they used to? I looked at them about a year ago and they seemed heavier and a higher quality. The price was lower, which is understandable. Am I just being paranoid? Thanks in advance for your opinions!

I totally agree with you, as I found the same problem with the new pieces, they are not as yellow and heavy as older ones. even vca are cutting corners. sigh.....
Sheesh! Sorry it took so long! I hope people visit to see my new(ish) necklace! I absolutely love it. Thanks for your comments on the differences between a few years ago and now with Van Cleef. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. It's still gorgeous and I'm very happy!
