I have been bitten by the Hermes bug... and have been literally dreaming at night about the bag that I am lusting for. I am hoping to find a gold 35 birkin. Good luck I know, but I am always the optimist!
There is a brique one available now on ebay that also looks fabulous, but I think long term I would be happier with the gold color as it was my first time my eyes went back in my head with love!

So - if I could find a gold 35 birkin - would I want it in TOGO leather or CLEMENCE?
I do like softer more supple leather that gives, but also don't want it to fall over everytime I set it down. I have been told there isn't a whole lot of difference between the two, but you guys are the experts so I am totally in your hands! Thank-you for being so nice to such a green newby!

ilove2shop, remember clemence is v heavy. I have a 30cm in clemence and it is heavy heavy when I put stuff in there. I also have a togo which is yes more rigid, but not in a boxy way. I think it depends on how floppy you eventually want the bag to get. If you are looking for superfloppy, then there is no contest..clemence. If you don't care, I would suggest togo as it is so much lighter. Remember, it's a sizable bag. Even if you only have your basics....

here's are visuals for you, my gold clemence & a stranger's gold togo which I photographed at an H-event (L-R), IMO gold is darker in clemence, I also love it in togo, am hoping to get one in the same size but perhaps in PH. I think it boils down to whether you want more or less slouch- clemence for more, togo for less. Tee hee, I can see her plastics are still on too.....

I do like slouch... but because this would be my first Birkin, I am a little scared about slouch... does that mean it's never going to stand up by itself after a year of use? Or just that it will still stand up but have it's own "character' to it? Thanks again for these visuals - great help!
