Recently, I'm obsessed about a white watch but after much thought, I can imagine how badly stained leather straps can be and living in a tropical country, don't forget it stinks too. Then, I thought about rubber strap. I am not too sure whether I should purchase anything else this year as 4 months ago, I bought our 5th wedding anniversary his and hers Aqua Terra watches. Maybe this will be for my birthday January next year.

While I'm an Omega fan, I have Constellation and Aqua Terra but can't stop thinking about the Omega Quartz 35mm white rubber strap with diamond markers. On the other hand, maybe I should have variety in my watch collection, thus looking at Chopard's Happy Sport with 3 diamonds, rubber strap. Both are about the same price. I haven't tried any as there's none where I live. I can only try them when I head to the capital end of August.

Also the Omega in deep purple leather with matching color dial is also calling me. So...you see I need help.

L to R: Chopard (rubber), Omega (rubber), Omega (leather), Omega (purple leather)

Just my opinion,

I don't care for the roman numerals on the dial, or the chunky plain bezel on the Chopard.

My fav would be that brilliant Purple OMEGA. I LOVE the graduating diamond markers, and they really pop on that etched/engraved purple dial.

If you live near an OMEGA boutique, they have rubber straps right there that you can purchase separately.

Considering you already own two Omega's, I would go with the Chopard. In my opinion, it is the nicest of your selection too.

Thanks Mr. Ho for chipping in. Yes, the Chopard would be a good piece to add on for variety. However, I'm attracted to the sun dial of the Omega. It's so unique.

Shigeru - oh yeah.....gosh, the purple just takes my breath away! Not forgetting the dial and diamond markers. I am not too sure if the rubber strap comes in any other colour except white. White dial seems to match with other coloured leather straps better than purple dial.

Oops, I forgot that I tried the Omega while browsing in HK airport but not the rubber strap version.

I just can't get past that the white would get dirty and discolored pretty quickly with regular wear and I wouldn't have to worry about that...I personally like the Omega dial more but not too crazy about the bezel, I prefer the smoothness of the Chopard bezel...

Ah, I haven't researched whether they had womens rubber straps in other colors, because I've seen orange, black (with both white and orange stitching), and blue in mens.

I also think the "Iris" would be fun on a white strap, because of the rainbow markers: http://www.omegawatches.com/ladies/constellation/iris-my-choice/14957900

shigeru - referring to the Iris Constellation, can that bracelet interchange with leather strap? I already have a mini My Choice Constellation.

chanel-girl - yes, it's rather fast to dirty white leather strap and white rubber strap tends to discolour over time. I love the Omega dial. The Chopard dial and bezel is pretty blah....unless it's all diamonds! :graucho:

Too bad, all diamond bezels are out of my budget and I'm rough when it comes to watches, I don't want to risk a diamond popped out of the bezel. I hit the bezel of the Omega Aqua Terra againts tables, wall, several times already (it's thicker and chunkier) and there's a small dent (argh...the watch is not even 6 months old). Out of topic, a diamond on my pendant popped out recently, so yeah, you can imagine how rough I am.

I do not think you can compare Omega to Chopard. Chopard is one of the highest quality jewelers in the world. However, I really do not care for that particular style.

I would choose a prettier chopard and I'm sure you can get a decent discount on either one...it's summer time. White straps will dirty fairly easily, so get second & third strap as extras...

There is another Chopard watch called Chopard Happy Diamond Happy Twelve which has a white strap and is quite elegant. Comes with and without diamonds. I think it's lovely. Below is a photo.

I have a white rubber strapped ped/heart monitor watch that the strap is starting to get kind of funky. (Should of bought the grey or black)
Only wear it when working out but the strap is getting starting to get kind of funky from lotions etc. I spray it every day with windex, it helps. The way this watch is created I can't get new bands. (Love the heart monitor part, one finger, no chest strap.)

You can always get new bands with these options. which is a great feature!
