I sadly need to retire my Hunter Welligton Tall Melrose due to sever cracking (wore them for my commute practically everyday for 6 months of the year over 2 years)

I can't find another pair of Hunter's I like and don't really like how loud the Gucci & Burberry rainboots are...any other suggestions? What do you guys wear in rainy weather? Dunno what else to wear in Hunter's absence!

Thanks newmomny! I'm a momma of 2 boys so I'm not sure i will be able to survive without wellies for much longer! They're so versatile and easy. Maybe I will buy the Burberry ones..seems to make sense considering the London weather ^_^

Good luck! I'm in flats all the time, to keep up with my little one, so I understand!

I'm gonna get Hunters again LOL

Can't decide between these colours though (sadly, I took too long to decide on the Vermillion and now they're sold out )

What do you guys think? Stone, Caffee Latte or Pewter Metallic Black? I'll be wearing these for the commute in/out of work and just everyday when the weather's yucky. The spring jackets I would wear them with would either be: a navy trenchcoat or a beige trench caplet.

Thanks for the help!

LE CHAMEAUS!! THE BEST RAINBOOTS EVER! Super comfortable and look nice. I have the Vierzon Lady IIs.

WOW!!! Where did you even get a pair from???? Beautiful!

Haha whenever I get a chance to recommend these boots - I have to! They're just the best rain boots I've come across. And I have to emphasize that they are so COMFORTABLE...whereas others like my Hunters are clunky and get heavy I could literally wear Le Chameaus all day. Light, soft, stylish, great quality and comfy footbed...plus theres a buckle at the top of the boot where you can adjust the width of the calf which gives the leg a great slim silhouette. I have a more athletic muscular calf and my friend who has the same boots has stick thin calves - and they look good on both of us, thanks to that little detail

I got mine from a local equestrian outfitter. Le Chameau's website carries them, naturally  Nordstrom sometimes carries them. Zappos carries them http://www.zappos.com/le-chameau-womens-shoes~1 and Amazon also carries them http://www.amazon.com/Le-Chameau-Womens-Vierzon-Lady/dp/B007RDG700

Here's some pics of Kate Middleton wearing them too http://www.barnackcountryclothing.c...012/02/kate-middleton-le-cheameau-wellies.jpg

http://lechameauusa.wordpress.com haha sorry, couldn't resist...though I believe she's wearing the "Chasseur" style

Also, here's videos of the bootmaking process which I found interesting (because so many things these days are NOT painstakingly made by hand anymore...!!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9x3TNe0iR4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1f4dSGurd-k

I swear I'm not affiliated with the company at all...I just love these boots :roflmfao: and everyone I know who has them raves about them too!

Hi, have you considered the verbier rain boot by Hunter? It has a similar wedge heel. The lacing in the back is decorative, it is a solid back, so you could take out the lacing and cut off the extra flaps, or switch it with black shoelaces
