I picked up a gorgeous hobo bag at a local thrift shop and am having a really hard time finding out about it. The hardware is very heavy and of good quality and is marked "HR" and "Helena R". The hardware is actually like jewelry. The exterior leather is textured with little bumps and is mostly a teal green with the bumps being black and pink. The interior is a mauve-ish leather. I'm guessing Helena Rubinstein and there are no tags or numbers, no "made in" label. I can post photos but first am curious if anyone knows of this designer related to handbags?

I think it could be Helena Rubinstein. I thought it was only a cosmetics brand but when I googled Helena Rubinstein bags.... a few appeared, though not your bag, unfortunately.

Although I don't recognise this one, I used to work for Rubenstein and for a while we ran a loyalty scheme - one of the gifts was a bag, a large black tote with matt gold hardware - amazing quality, really well made. I don't know if the US ran a loyalty plan but maybe yours came from a similar offer?

Thank you all for your input! I found a TON of HR/Helena bags on a Singapore website. Some had some of the same hardware and they were identified as Helena Rubinstein. I have only found one in the U.S. on a selling site in Arizona but it is a messenger bag, black leather.

I wonder if they were not produced for sale in the U.S.? On the Singapore site the prices ranged from $100 for a wallet to over $1000 for a handbag and I am confident this one is no $29 bag from Kohl's. I'm just so darned curious!!!

I have a Wonderful Vintage underarm clutch purse, marked "Originals by Helena" I would truly love to know if this was made by Helena Rubenstein? Maybe a gift with a purchase? I had to change the color of the tag, so that I could read it clearly.
I would also like to apologise for a previous post, as I am not familiar with posting.
Thank you so much for any, and all of your help. Thank you
