Hi ladies

I have not been very active for years now - god knows where the last 6 years has gone, oh that's right, kids!

I am wanting to sell an old denim LV baggy and another (prada) diaper bag.... I have no idea where to start to try and sell. I live in Australia, so can any Ozzies help me out, or do we just list them internationally somewhere? Clueless.

I still have all original boxes and receipts proving authenticity.

Help would be appreciated.....

Thanks :smile1:

I am in rural nsw and I have sold quite a few MK, Coach, MBMJ and Kate spade bags on eBay. Most were new. Some take a while to sell, some sell quickly. You need to put up good quality pictures. Make you auctions ends on weekends, it makes a difference. Or list them at a buy it now price with best offer. Good luck!

Local sites such as Gumtree, eBay, and the LV FB page are excellent starting points, but there is always inherent risks involved such as scammers. I highly recommend having third party proof of authenticity (i.e Carol Diva) to add to your supporting documentation, as boxes and receipts can easily be counterfeited, should you choose to sell on these type of sites. Don't be afraid look at the potential buyer's history either should you go with eBay as it can help to indicate if that person is genuine or a "pest" that will likely make your sale a nightmare.
Also, and this is very important, make sure you go over your bags with a fine-toothed comb and ensure that every minute detail, to the best of your ability, is mentioned in your description. This would cover everything from scuffs, loose threading, fading of material, patina, staining, odour, etc. And make sure you have detailed and high-quality photo evidence to support your description. I recommend looking at sites such as Yoogi's Closet and seeing how they display their merchandise.

Try a closed group called "HIGH END" on Facebook. I prefer this to eBay and Gumtree. I recently sold my Givenchy Antigona on there.

If you need an invitation, let me know. :smile1:

I just use ebay. While I don't like it I get the exposure there and sometimes it's slow but I've never been able to sell anywhere else and I don't ship internationally which also can limit my options.
Only ever had one issue where the buyer lied about condition because she changed her mind then wouldn't respond to the claim she filed and sent it back in terrible packaging that was torn... luckily I resold for more to someone who loved it. So there can be the odd issue with ebay but it's the only place I've actually had any bites.
