How to wear a diamond ring without looking like you're engaged?

Hey everyone, so I am a single lady but I love big solitaire diamond rings and I've always wanted to wear one but I don't want to look like I'm engaged or married.
Any tips on what shape to buy or how to wear them without looking like I'm engaged?

I was also going to say middle finger right hand. We are in the same boat and that’s what I do. Mines not a solitaire but I don’t think the style matters.

This! "Toi et moi" type ring on right hand middle finger would be beautiful and not look like an engagement ring

I used to wear a yellow diamond on my right middle finger. I tried it as a three-stone and as a halo'd solitaire. Unfortunately, men always thought I was married. I ended up dating some real jerks, guys who would, apparently, date a married woman.

I now wear a "toi et moi" on my right middle finger and don't think that I have the same problem.

Just get the ring with a chunky band or coloured band. Then it’s a “cocktail” ring! Voila! I remember after I got divorced and kept the ring I simply redid it into an intricate cocktail ring with black and white pave around the diamond.... no one ever doubted I was engaged or married
