Do you have a window in your closet?

Looks like the white has yellowed from UV rays 😭
No windows, small closet and has a light fixture. Is it from the light? I'm not sure what to use to clean it or it won't work. Even inside has a spot, there wasn't leaking on the ceiling. Also it was in the yellow original dustbag

Not sure then; if it’s in the dust bag the light shouldn’t be having much of an effect. 😭

Can't figure out the reason :) just want help to remove those yellow stain spots. No it's on both side of the bag, one pic I circled and the another I missed, also a spot inside.

The inside spot is 100% liquid damage of some sort. That would come out in the washing machine (although the VVN would hate that), the outside... my best guess is that the PVC is already degrading, and that causes the discolouration, but that won't come off :(

Oh no.....:( not even using some cleaner, like those leather cleaner, I know it's not leather. I should had use it instead sitting in the closet for many years and never buy white bags again :( Thank you.

Maybe someone has a secret trick up their sleeve, but if a baby wipe doesn't remove it, then it is not a promising start :(
The ladies found it a little funny when I said a few times recently on the forum, that the bags should be regularly used and "walked". Because most horror stories start with "I rarely used it" or "it has been sitting in the closet" :(
I still hope someone has some good technique or trick or something, because this is a very nice bag, the leather is in very good condition, lovely patina.

I did use baby wipes but no luck. Yeah, it's true was sitting in the closet :( . I'm lazy to carry big bags now, also it's white, waist bag convenience now lol. Hopefully someone has the trick. Thank you so much

@weewee Im so sorry this happened to your bag. For the inside liquid stains I would just try a damp cloth and maybe some neutral soap. The outside I dont know. Otherwise just wear it from now on, use it until it falls apart

@BULL: love your knowledge as always. I laughed again about the „bag walking thing“ as I imagined engaging bag walkers like dog walkers:lol:lol…
But on a serious note: Does this especially apply on Canvas items or also on full leather bags (to be used as much as possible)? TIA :flowers:

My guess is that it applies for all items. Moving around and airing out properly benefits both canvas and leather.
I am also guilty of rarely using wallets now. 10 years ago I built a little collection, but since the phone does everything, I don't need to carry cash, IDs, passes, tickets, receipts, etc. anymore. But even they would benefit from a little workout from time to time, so the folding doesn't get stiff, nothing sticks together, etc.

I'd say leather even moreso. Natural oils from your skin seep in to prevent it from drying out and while it doesn't make it waterproof, greatly helps. Sure, one can condition it periodically, but that's hit or miss. I've found nothing more effective than just simply wearing the bag, especially if I wear it a couple times a week after getting it for the first six months.

So the only problem is having way too many bags to wear them all every week

Weekly’s just my process for the new ones, then it’s every few months where I can also inspect them.

Moving closer to topic, I’m not sure if this would resolve the yellowing in the pictured bag, but inspection might have caught it earlier when the damage wasn't quite so bad.

The interior very much looks caused by something external. The exterior is hard to tell; I'd need more detailed photos.
