how to reduce & prevent scratches for smoith calf skin leather?

Hello ladies! I bought a monogram tassel bag in calf skin and it scratches so easy. I have been extra careful with all my bags and never have any scratches on any of them except for this ysl tassel bag. Are all ysl bag scratch easy like this one? I really want to buy another ysl but afraid it will scratch easy. It seems like ysl calf skin are so much more fragile than chanel lambskin. Is there a way the reduce and prevent scratches?

The best way to avoid scratches is to avoid running your fingers on the leather so that your nails won't scratch the bag. Nails are the biggest culprits to scratching leather. When you wear your bag, avoid letting people get too close to it, because they can accidentally scratch your bag too. Also, avoid abrading the corners of the bag against coats, walls, chairs, etc. so that the corners don't wear away.

I do this with my bags and it really reduces the number of scratches.

If my bag does get scratched, then I take a finger and rub the scratch gently in circular motion, and it minimizes the look of the scratch (unless it's deep. It won't help with deep scratches).
