Recently spotted a pair of lace up ankle boots that are mainly black leather, but with brown appliques around the "collar" and on the toes.
What color of clothes would you match with boots like these?
It would depend on the shade of brown, but I think both Navy and Emerald Green match blacks and browns very well, especially darker shades of brown, so that's what I'd go for.
I also think a black and white look would look great! If the contrast of white is too strong, you can always go for an off-white or bone white colour.
Adding on, any shade of gray, or heathered or herringbone gray.
I think any plaid or tartan pattern would work well as well.
I like the simplicity of all black or all brown so the shoe stands out
If you wear shawls, I'd pop a plaid, paisley or warm colors ( cognac, honey, cream, JMO)
I agree with neutral tones and/or plaid and not sure of your style but think could also look good with the right floral or boho type print. Here are a few looks I think would pair well as examples/possible inspiration.
