Hello, I have a Kate Spade coin purse that has two sharp areas. I’m worried the circled areas are going to scratch up the interior of my nicer bags. They’re small enough that it’s difficult to cut off excess material with scissors, does anyone have suggestions on how to smooth down these areas? They are pretty sharp when I run my finger across them.

I can't see what's circled in green, but I wonder if you could use a fine nail file on the part circled in blue? You'd have to be careful though you wouldn't want the thread to unravel.

My fave solution, to most thread issues= cigarette lighter.
Caveat: it's fire. So don't get crazy.
But did trick on my chanel bag. And a car seat thread issue this morning.

Thanks for your suggestions! I cut through the glazing then kept rubbing with a napkin until it’s soft. Now I need to figure out how to close the end of the thread, thinking of putting a clear coat of nail polish or using a lighter.

Lol @remainsilly I don’t think I can be trusted with fire. Omg you’re brave for doing that on your Chanel bag :panic:

I also use lighters on loose threads, the small flame lasts a second and thread stays put!
