How to differentiate Togo and Clemence?

I have bags in both leathers and here are some differences I have noticed. (My Clemence is an Evelyne and Togo is a Birkin).

Clemence is a thicker leather.

The grains on Clemence are flatter. On Togo if you rub your hand over the bag it is not necessarily soft but on Clemence it is. I think of Clemence as buttery ... I feel that it seems slightly more luxurious than Togo, even though I totally love, love, love my VA Togo B.

I have found Clemence to have a light sheen whereas not so with Togo.

Togo can have veining from a little to a lot but I don't believe there is any veining in Clemence.

Some say that Clemence is heavier but most say only a teeny bit. I tried an empty Clemence 35 Birkin and it didn't seem heavier than my Togo to me. My next Birkin will be Clemence.

Clemence is slouchier. If you look at the bag from the side, on Clemence you can see less structure. Even though my Togo is slouchy, it still looks nothing like Clemence.

My friend had her black 35cm togo next to my 30cm clemence & the best way I can describe it was hers felt crisper to the touch & mine felt buttery soft.Being a 30cm mine still has it's shape & is not really slouchy.

i have them both on birkin i can say that they look alike but i still love togo more it holds up the shape a lot better and the color tends to be more of a mat finish clemence does with time look shiny i love them both but togo has a smaller grain and also has a more esthetic look for me because the thinkness of clemence makes the bag look more robust and much less refined and it also sometimes as living material gets little white marks wich my SA has said are tiny bits of natural grease that with use the leather creates this has never happened with togo . if the bag is on somone else and you wish to test yourself look at the way the straps are on the person if they sterch a lot its clemence wearing ,and if sat down check if it slouches or melts a bit if it does its clemence .

Clemence is extremely soft and smooshy even when its new. Although it has grains but when you touch it you cant feel them at all.

Whereas togo's grains are more pronounced and it isn't slouchy at all (when new). Togo is a workhorse leather, clemence is a leather you just want to caress all day. I'm not making sense. Love both!
