print chipping DO happen to LV limited edition prints...it happens to my multicolore, panda & cerises

but how to prevent it? especially the corners where they are more prone to chipping
how to deal with it if it's already happen?

can LV do something for us if it happens?
i'm not is US or France where things can be easier, but i have 3 LV stores here (i'm in Jakarta, Indonesia) although i doubt they want or can do something for me.

Thanks :)

there is nothing they can do its just due to wear. The only you as the buyer can do it be careful, gently use your bag. :(

I think for most that buy LE they dont use their bags /items often and do baby them more then other bags.

Ack, no, NEVER try to treat or seal the print, that'll just make it worse. I don't know about reactions, etc. but you could to a lot more harm than good, the paint may end up just smearing around and looking way worse.
There are threads here where people ask how to remove nail polish from their bags, you definitely don't want to put it there on purpose. :nogood:

This is the main reason why I avoid buying anything MC, unless it's an SLG. I would hate to have to buy a MC bag and risk damaging the Monogram. It's ridiculous that it's so pricey too. Just because it's silk-screened! Crazy.

^Even the SLG's do it, my mom's black MC PTI wallet is chipping pretty badly now. Granted, she has used it for a really long time now and it's always rubbing against other things in her bags but still.

Hmm, my black MC Speedy never chipped and I used it everyday for 2 years, have had it 4 or 5 years. And I never babied that bag, one look at the vachetta will tell you that. I don't know why some chip and some don't.

how come MC canvas will chip? i have the MC eugenie wallet and worry me after reading all the posts here. :faint:

^because it's silk screened. and actually i think SLGs are much more prone to rub-off than bags. especially agendas, wallets and things that are used everyday. i have a cherry blossom pochette that i bought preloved, and it has very little ruboff problems. but i've seen cherry blossoms/cerises wallets and agendas that have major rub off, becuase 1) it was probably used more often (some SLGs are used everyday, whereas bags you switch off more frequently) and 2) it comes into contact with more stuff (things like keys, other stuff are rubbing against it inside the bag).

i have a black MC wallet and i haven't had issues with ruboff, but then maybe thats because i switch wallets often. also i often put my wallet by itself in one of the inner side pockets, so other stuff doesn't scratch it. i've heard of others keeping things inside its dustbag when inside the bag, but that's too much work for me :p
