How to clean enamel bracelets?

  1. If I buy one from eBay that is used and I want to clean it, what is the safest way? Not that I think anyone has cooties, I'm just neurotic that way :shame: Thanks!
  2. Warm water and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleansers and exposure to extreme temperatures. Most cleansers contain bleachs and ammonias that can alter the color.
  3. Not too much water, though.

The way these break is by the palladium or gold edgings coming off, which is   .
SAs advise not to get them too wet....
  4. Great question, smallfry! Thanks for the advice, CobaltBlu!
  5. Does that mean I can't use Windex????

(I'm only half joking, lol. I've never cleaned mine as I only have two or three)
  6. Thanks ladies!!
  7. I left my bracelet out for too long and it got 'rusty'
    can anyone help me
  8. OMG...this is such an old thread!

I think the best thing to do is to bring it to your local Hermes store to see what they say.
  9. thanks for the advice, and thanks for posting the question. Maybe I should get into enamels, lol!
  10. You definitely should! :graucho:
