Hi everyone, does anyone know where you go on the van cleef website to check the serial number? My friend recently got an alahambra pendant (from the boutique in SF) but she feels it looks off (I think she’s just paranoid) but I saw on another thread you can check online so thought I’d ask.

You can’t. The website does not offer that function. If she bought it from the SF boutique it should be authentic. She should address the issue with her SA.
Thank you! I think she just feels the mop is not as vibrant as she wanted and that’s not really an authentication issue it’s more that mop varies from piece to piece imo. Anyway thanks!

You can go on the VCA website and log into your account (or create an account if you don’t have one). Then go to My Services > Request a Service. From there choose something like adjust a creation. Then select necklace and you’ll see a box to select to enter the serial number.
Wow. That is very interesting. Once you make a purchase is that information automatically input into your profile that you can access online once you create an account? Or do you as the client have to enter the details of your own purchase?

I think the OP is asking if she can verify the authenticity of her serial number. I am assuming that is not available on the website. However if the first option as I described is available, then maybe she can.

You can go through those same steps even if you just have a serial number and no purchases, as long as you know what type of jewelry piece that serial number belongs to. You can go on VCA's website and create an account at anytime. Once you input the serial number, for confidentiality, it will list a handful of items. You should see your item listed among the ones pictured.

So in the end it’s the client that enters the serial number of the pieces that the client wants to track in their online account? I want to know if the client can access the pieces that they have purchased that are in VCA’s system, that have automatically been populated by VCA. I’ll log in and see what I see in my account.

The purpose for them to import serial numbers into their online system is to make it easier for remote clients to submit a service request and/or ordering a home service kit. The creations and serial numbers are not restricted to your profile and purchase history. You can even enter serial number of a random creation from Fashionphile when you attempt to create a service request and it'll still pop up as an option.

@Mini M op, were you able to look up the serial number on the vca website? I got curious and attempted the steps, but mine lead to a store invite instead of a form. maybe its not available for all countries.

We got the same message as you! My friend whose item it is checked from Canada and I checked from New York. Maybe this feature is another continent only or maybe it’s no longer offered. However she just took the necklace into the Vancouver boutique and everything looks good/as it should!

When you went on the VCA website, did you log into your account first? I'm in the USA and after I sign in with my account information, I click on the image in the top-right corner that looks like a person icon. Then click My Services. If you've purchased any items that have been sent for alteration they'll appear. But you have the ability to click Request a Service. Next, choose Adjust a Creation. It will then ask what type of item (bracelet. earrings, necklace, etc). Select the appropriate response and then you should see the button to click on to enter the serial number. The key to getting this to work may be signing into your VCA account before you start requesting service.

I don’t suggest you to do that if there are not your pieces because my account has been blocked by doing this too often.

Thank you for this! It worked for me (U.K., on EU website) and I was able to check a piece I bought years ago fit the correct profile.
