How to avoid this

How do I avoid my cowhide leather bags to look like this after regular use. I am new to soft leather. Have used saffiano only in the past because of its ease of use and maintenance. This picture is of a used mbmj bag taken from eBay, and reason why I am concerned is my non saffiano leather bags are all mbmj or MJ.

I have or have had a few MBMJ bags and non of them had so much scuffing. Corners - yes, but not an actual bag. On corners I've used a shoe polish in the same colour as a bag. Sometimes I've used Edge Kotte, but just on corners or piping.
If you want to avoid any heavy scuffing, just keep conditioning , and it should help.

The corner scuffing is hard to avoid. Use high quality condition and shoe polish would keep it to the minimal. I'm a huge fan of this French brand of leather condition and polish products called Saphir (http://amzn.to/1oDfpr9) but I'm sure there are others that are just as good.

I use Saphir too, their Universal Cream is a good cleaner and general conditioner. I try to clean and condition my bags once a month so the leather does not dry up. To cover up the scuffs, you should get the Renovating Creme in the same colour and polish the bag with Creme Surfine in the same colour after.
