Hey Everyone, I'd love to get an opinion from those of you who have owned the Neverfull before I purchase my own first luxury bag.
I've heard the GM can carry up to 200 lbs. I'm planning on getting a NF to use daily for work.
I usually carry a small laptop, some files, wallet, usual purse stuff and maybe a snack. It'll be nowhere near 200 lbs but it's definitely not light. No other bag I've owned has been able to handle the weight on a daily basis (although they were not "premier" brands - they still weren't cheap by any means).
I initially considered buying a pre-owned one but I think I've decided on having the LV experience for real!
When I searched pre-owned ones, some of the bags were in bad condition (they could have been fake - I'm not certain). So it just makes me nervous about whether the NF can truly withstand the weight I want to carry in it.

Would love to hear what your experiences are with the NF! How often do you use it? Do you carry a lot in it? How's it looking these days?

Thank you

I had a neverfull mm de and wore it everyday for two years. Sometimes when packing a ton I’d feel nervous about the straps, but they are EXTREMELY strong and sturdy, and the bag was still in perfect condition with no signs of stress on the straps. I sold it and bought a GM, and mainly use it for work (packing a very heavy laptop and files and hydroflask) or as my airport carryon packed full. They hold up amazingly well in my opinion and carry a TON!

I use my neverfull MM DE, with red lining, 5 days a week for work, and i absolutely love it. It really does complete my corporate outfit. It's probably one of my best purchases in terms of value for money. I do carry a lot in it (800ml glass water bottle, heavy coats during winter, lunch etc) and have found that it hasn't shown on the wear of the bag yet. I don't baby this bag at all (but neither am i careless with it) - and it still looks pristine as the day i bought it (which is about 10 months ago).

I load my GM (old version, bought in 2009) with kids water bottles, jackets and stuff while traveling. It gets rather heavy but it’s super sturdy!

Neverfull is one of the few bags that you’re better off buying new because most people don’t offload unless it’s well used and not for much saving.
It can definitely hold up a lot but you need to be mindful whether the thins straps are comfortable for wearing in the shoulder, I sometimes handheld it when it gets too heavy

My neverful monogram is more than 10 years old. I use it mainly for travelling; I travel a lot. I also use it as a beachbag and sometimes as a workbag if I have to carry a lot of stuff. It really fits a ton!!! And it still looks great. One of my best bags for sure!

I've had my DE NF MM for a decade now. Wore it to school - laptop, files, notebooks, textbooks, waterbottle etc., would combine any of those plus more and the bag held up well. I've used it for travel too - slung on the plane, put on the floor, plenty of things stuffed into it. And it's still going real strong.

It's my workhorse bag.

Yours looks great! I got a mono GM recently and the canvas is still on the stiff side since it’s so new. How long did it take to get that broken in/slouchy look?

I've also had my monogram NF MM for 10 years now, and boy does that thing take a beating. I shove it under airplane seats and in overhead compartments since it is my travel bag, I put it in the sand at the beach, and who knows where else it has been. It has held up wonderfully and there are no signs of wear other than a beautiful patina on the vachetta.
