How soft are the metallic leathers?

I am new to Bottega Veneta and I don't have anywhere near me where I can check them out in person.

That being said, I am looking into getting a large Veneta and trying to decide which color I want. I'm pretty set on basic black and brown bags, so I want to expand into other colors. The metallics that BV does look amazing and neutral, but I wonder how slouchy they are? I really want the bag to have nice slouch, since I like leather that drapes and since I will be getting the large size.

Apart from coming in different colors, BV metallics come in different skins.

Generally, they are stiffer and rougher compared to the normal nappa leather seen on most Venetas. They will soften and slouch over time with use. You may want to check out the color reference thread as well as the Veneta style thread on this sub-forum for more bag and action shots.

Thanks! Does the color reference thread talk about the type of leather each color comes in and how "stiff" or thick it is?

There was a thread about this not long ago, you might wanna search for the thread. The metallic bags will soften, but it will take some time.
