How should I wear these earrings?

Normally, this sort of earring would have something (i.e., small round rubber disc to slip over the gold wire to hold it in place). That disc would be hidden behind you ear, making the first photo the "correct" way to wear it. For that reason, my guess is that the first photo shows how it's intended to be worn. That said, I have a couple of questions for you.
- Is the earring secure without something to hold it in place?
- Which way do you feel looks best on you? We cannot see how it looks on you "head on," which would help us answer your question.

Honestly, I kinda like them both ways. The hoop is thick enough and my piercings are tight enough that the earrings are pretty secure either way.
Kinda like to see what it might look like with each earring going a different way in each of your ears

I would wear them just like you have them shown...One up, one down 
I think you’re supposed to wear them like your first photo. They’re really nice and a little bit different
