Hello ladies, how would you choose between st. germain PM and cluny BB?

I fell in love with the st. germain bag in dune color immediately after I saw it, but I am a little worried about color transfer to the light color leather. Also I heard the lock is easy to get scratched all over? So does the chain? ... Probably Empreinte leather is not as durable as epi? What's your experience?

These are two beautiful bags and it'll most likely come down to which one best suits your style. I love Epi leather and Cluny BB is very classic and elegant, yet still versatile. I think St Germain is very ladylike and also can be dressed up or down. Dune is a gorgeous neutral and,if you're careful, I wouldn't worry too much about color transfer, just be mindful when wearing dark denim. I am no help because I'd love each, in a different color, in my collection. Follow your heart!

This one's a tough decision!! Love both. In fact went back and forth yesterday trying on the Cluny BB and MM. Love the structure of the Cluny and the inside!!! Also love how it sits crossbody. The St Germain in dune is just so perfect!!! However the Cluny in dune is gorgeous also. For me, I was in beige capris and a boatneck burgandy3/4 sleeve cute top, but not dressy and the Cluny BB in noir looked perfect. I could and would wear the St Germain with that same outfit (not caring if someone thought I wasn't dressed up enought) but would feel it was a little more dressy than the Cluny. I think more because of the chain on the St Germain. I don't know that I would worry that much about the clasp to close and open the bag. I have the Pochette Metis (for a little over a year) and the clasp looks fine. Empriente is pretty durable, but epi may have a little more durability. The smooth part on the middle of the Cluny may be a little easier to get scratched up since it's not epi, but a smooth leather. I have pieces in both empriente and epi, but I do take really good care of my beauties so I can't say one is better than the other. They're both pretty amazing! I think it just depends on how you feel trying them on. Tough, tough, tough choice!!!

Tough choice! Because I myself am also torn between these two. I think cluny is more structured and St Germain is more chic. So in my opinion cluny is better as a daily working bag, and St Germain is better for weekend shopping or dates or going out dinner etc. and cluny's epi leather is easier to maintain, so you worry less about the bag.
These are both beautiful handbags!

I agree!

OP, have you considered the St. Germain in Taupe? It's a little bit darker and probably less prone to showing wear.
