I have a black mini rect. and it is my favorite Chanel bag. Because it is lambskin, I hesitate to use it. Last year, I only used it a few times. I'm hoping to use it more this year. For those of you who do have it, how often do you use it?

I have one in LIGHT PINK. It's super cute and I love it but it also drives me crazy about making it dirty etc.. I got it last spring and used it only for a couple of Vegas trips. This year I'm using it more often. I'm like life is short I need to use it!!! 90% of the time I wear light colors either ivory or pink so I don't really worry about color transfer. Yours is black so just enjoy it don't worry!!

I have an SO Black Lambskin Mini Rectangular and use it frequently. I'd had the identical bag in Black Caviar with Ruthenium hardware, but sold it when I purchased the SO Black Lambskin version. For me, Lambskin is a great big luxurious step up from Caviar.

I should add that I had a Black Lambskin WOC and sold it as soon as my SA sourced the identical bag in Caviar. I travel with the WOC and need it to be carefree, rain or shine. I never take a Lambskin bag out in inclement weather.

There's one more in my classic Chanel lineup . . . an SO Black Lambskin Jumbo with the most glorious patina. These three bags cover all the Chanel bases for me.

I have a black lambskin chevron square mini from 2015/16 and it used to be my go to bag for years. I've used it for everything, going out, errands, concerts, travel and what not for at least 5 years. After that I've used it less, maybe monthly. It's held up pretty well, some minimal wear on the front corners and a few scratches. But to me worn, it looks just as stunning as new.

I purchased a used mini black lamb/silver with a missing/damaged chain off eBay. It had some structure loss but it was 1900$. The leather was in perfect condition as were the corners and hardwear. The previous owner used it as a clutch when she cut the chain in her car door. I figured it would be a gamble. I brought it to my local CC store and they sent it to Paris to replace the chain. Replacing the chain cost 300$. They did not fix the structure loss but recommended I store it stuffed. It looks beautiful today, but because I bought it second hand and so cheap, I use it and don’t care about it getting beat up. But I hear you, if I paid full price, I would baby the lamb skin also. It feels so fragile. All my other CCs are either caviar or goatskin.
