How often do they change Speedy style?

Forgive my lack of knowledge when it comes to LV!

I know they changed the inside pocket to be zippered somewhat recently but is a redesign of a classic rare?

I was just curious because I was looking at the Empreinte Leather Speedy Bandouliere 25s and they have that longer zipper that goes out to the sides while the Damier Ebene/Monogram zipper only goes on the top. I imagine the longer zipper makes it better for the somewhat small opening of the 25 I've heard about, but would they add that to the classic line anytime?

Not often for the true classics, but it happens. The Alma was redesigned (added feet, changed the shape slightly, etc), the Speedy was redesigned with the interior pocket and the new chaps. The Sac Plat was redesigned (before it got discontinued) with a new interior and a smaller version available...
