How much is us customs for chanel flap?

I wanted to find out how much customs will be charged on a chanel medium classic flap purchased in France? It's about 4,000 and around 3700 with vat back. I'm not sure how to work it out. What were you charged?

You need to go to the US Customs and Border Protection website. Here is a link: http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/trade/trade_programs/duty_rates/determining.xml


Then down on the right side you will see a link to the US International Trade Commission - Tariff Database. Click on that and then click on "Tariff Search Tool" on the left. Leather handbags over $20 are listed in section VIII, chapter 42. It looks to be around 9% right now according to this chart, but it does change, so you need to check it right before you import the item. Last time I checked it was 8% and now it's up to 9%.
