Hi all!
My husband got me the beautiful RTT Love lock necklace for Christmas. I absolutely LOVE it!
I have a quick question for you all about Tiffany pieces and scratches, though. I looked it over originally, and it was absolutely flawless. I put it on wearing a sweater, nothing sharp or jagged. I went to take a pic of it with my phone, and the phone tipped forward and tapped the lock with the lens, nothing drastic at all, although the lens on my phone is a matte finish. I look at it, and I see this. The scratches are deep enough to feel with a fingernail.
I'm nonplussed. Does this look like something that can ever be buffed or polished out? How much metal would they need to remove to make it shiny again?
I still absolutely LOVE it of course, NO doubt there! But I'm curious how much babying I should expect to be doing in order to keep it in good condition. I own a lot of silver so I know it will get those light surface scratches/patina and I don't mind that at all, but this deep and this easily? Photo was taken with a macro lens for the best visual.
Thank you for any tips or info!
