How many red bags are too many?

I'm finding that I really love red bags.

I currently own a Prada crossbody (dark red), and have three other red bags on my wish list:
- Gucci Soho Disco (cherry red)
- Gucci logo Marmont with leather outline (outline is red, logo print is the canvas cloth)
- Balenciaga hourglass leather bag

Do I need 3 new red bags? They're all different looks to me.

If you love them and carry them often then it works! Pics? They all sound like different sizes and styles. Will you reach for these desired red bags more often than what is already in your collection? Good luck with your decision.

If you use them, there’s no magic number! Think of all the people with many bags of the same color of neutrals (3 black bags probably wouldn’t make anybody pause). If you like and use the bags, that’s all you need to know.

Especially with the variety you mention above - I mean a Soho and a Prada crossbody (saffiano, probably?) - definitely say “different looks” to me.

The only time I’d reconsider repetition a problem is when I get bags that are too close in general, might even be different colors. I have two totes and it’s more than enough for my lifestyle - no matter what color, no matter how lovely, I’m just not adding another tote.

Now that I can see the pictures - I don’t think “crossbody” necessarily means repetition, the only ones I’d say are sort of repetitive are the first two.

BUT even then, it’s not the color, really, just same shape *and* color. Although if one is bigger (the Prada looks bigger?) or something I can see why both might come in handy at different times.

Some people like a range, never repeating twice and some like to invest in a personal style statement. Just as no one bag suits all, so every person's collection is different.

I have a few (non black) bags in the exactly same colour, one set is a pop colour. IMO it shows a sense of style to have a signature colour (or style). Gucci's red is the perfect bright scarlet, neither blue nor orange leaning so I can why you like it I (I do too) and the Hourglass is a wonderful statement, particularly in that colour. They all look pretty classic to me.

Now you show us the pictures, I must admit the Prada and the Guccis look very similar to my eyes. Maybe pick up just one (the Prada ?), for you might later get tired of the look, and you would be tired of 3 bags instead of 1...

I agree. Now that I’m seeing them all, I would say the first two are very similar. I would get the otters first and then maybe circle around to the Gucci later if you still want it.
UNLESS! You really crave one of the thee bags. If that’s the case get whatever that is first. You’ll wear it and enjoy it.

Actually this is the only red bag i have since i wear black clothes a lot / sometimes white, red is. A pop of color to your outfit!

Red is my favorite color and it goes with almost everything, so to me it is the perfect “pop of color” color that so use almost like a neutral. A red bag is a must for me. I have 5 red bags, all different sizes, shapes and feels. I have a darker red bucket bag for winter, a bigger slouchy tomato red bag for summer, a small fun quilted bright red bag, a bright red LV patent red mini tote and a red Le Pliage nylon bag. Different bags for different occasions.

Now that I write it down, I might need to pare that down, though all but the LV was really inexpensive and all were bought pre-loved at a huge discount....

If you really feel they have different purposes and you enjoy them.., I have 3 red bags and red is not even my favorite color... I am pretty sure that I have 10 blue bags and each one has a special place to me.
