How many letters and numbers does an authentic LV serial number have??

The letters stand for the factory in which it was made.

Oh I know, I just wondered which letters represented each factory. Like I said, I knew about the SD for San Dimas but I don't know what letters represent the others.

Fake bags will have "authentic" date codes too. That's why going strictly with date codes for authenticity is dangerous.

That's fake one, They just put the model number instead of the date code

As far as I'm concerned, they don't have any number, only the lid must with LV letters deeply engraved. My Employer got the smallest up to the biggest one (for travelling), so I really do know them.

some older bags may have 4 numbers and then 2 letters or just 3 numbers or 3 numbers and 2 letters
some special editions have 1 letter and 5 numbers

Is it true that some limited edition has 1 letter and 5 numbers?
