How many Kelly or Birkin can you buy in a year?

My friend said that they keep the record, especially at FSH and we can only purchase one Birkin or one Kelly a year. Is that true?

Not true. It depends on your patronage at the H store and how good your relationship with the store is in general.

For FSH, yes - but it is 1B/1K per season per person. They are generally very, very strict about this 1 Birkin/1 Kelly rule, and will also deny your travel companion if they assume your companion will not be using the bag (but you will be). This happens a lot with couples, and I have witnessed the SA/SM at FSH tell the couple that if they aren't happy about the rule, then they won't sell them any at all.

For other stores, it is as MrsS points out - it depends greatly on your patronage and your relationship with the store.

This is my experience as well. I do sense that their is a lot of competition amongst Associates and all bags may not be available to all Patrons as they are "on hold" for other Associates clients.

I ll expand the question: do they keep an international record of who gets what and how many? I slightly doubt it and I think it goes by city (ie the whole of Paris or the whole London, NY etc) but I am not sure...

I really doubt they do, apart fm FSH, the rest is all subjective and depends on where you are, who you deal with.There seems to be lots of members who have more than 2 birkins/kellys a year.

I think as long as it's not for re-sale they wouldnt be particularly fussed about who gets what and when. Just my opinion.

Yes, I talked my SA about this . That's the rule but if you really like it, they will sell to you.

yes, it is really about relationship and blessing(?), I think.
I got my blue sellier kelly on Aug 7th and black kelly on Aug 10th in Paris and came back with a big smile^^ I was offered a 40 black birkin but too big for me.
