I bounce around between 3 at a time. Bad reading habit!
I usually read one book at a time. If I re-read a book I will start another new book at the same time though.
I usually have one novel that is part of a series or books all by the same author (I did Anne McCaffrey, Isaac Asimov, Margaret Atwood, etc and am on Stephen King's Dark Tower series now) and a non-fiction book of some sort, usually history or some such, sociology, etc. I also often have something I have read before on my bedside table. Sometimes poetry or Jane Austen.
I just got a Nook awhile back and have the Dark Tower series on that as well as a bunch of knitting books. I also downloaded a ton of old books from Project Gutenberg, so I can always dip into classics that I am either re-reading or have always meant to read. I finished some Proust and Goethe recently because they were there. I had thought they would be boring but I really enjoyed the Proust. Live and learn, lol.
just one, I really can't stand reading more than one at a time.
For a novel, it's one at a time. I am usually reading psychology so several at a time is common for me. I dip into the Sherlock Holmes stories several times a month, just short enough for a diversion.
1 at a time, and if it's good I stay up all night and finish it, lol.
I usually read one or two at a time.
Used to be 2-3 but since having my son I'm lucky to keep one straight.
3 or more, as the Kindle is really an enabler when it comes to reading multiple books at the same time!
I can only read one at once. I've tried to juggle two books, but I just lose interest in one and end up reading the other.
Just 1. I usually won't start another till I finish the one I am reading.
I read books one at a time. I have to finish a book completely (even if I don't like it) before I start up a new one.
The Kindle is definitely an Enabler!
I have 4 on the go at the moment...
I can only devote myself to one book at a time.
