How many bags do they make of a limited design?

For the Vain embroidered shoulder bag when I asked the sales associate in the Madison NYC boutique he said each store gets just one. And when you check availability in boutiques USA+Worldwide there are just 24 total. In the USA locations there are just 9. Just wondering if anyone knew exactly how many they make.

I saw one in Selfridges in London (or not shown it as it happens) and I think they had a couple in London alone. This was a little while ago so I don't know if they factor into the 24. For Valentino, 24 special editions is quite a lot.
