had a problem with a purchase and seller said on the 2nd they would "glady issue refund" but i have not recieved it! they messaged me "Please respond and kindly let us know how you wish to proceed so that we can resolve your issue in a timely and appropriate manner." i responded i wanted a full refund! i can't remember the last time i had a problem with an order so i am not sure what the appropriate amount of time is allowed.

PayPal messages have been slow getting out according to some boards. Check the original transaction to see if it was refunded. Maybe seller is waiting to move money back in the account.

I believe that if you originally funded the payment with a credit card, the c.c. account will show the credit rather than showing on PP.

You should receive some kind of notification from paypal that a refund has been
issued to your account in the original form of payment.

You can also check with your cc to see if the refund was processsed without
notification from pp/ebay..

Your seller may be in the process of transferring funds, hence the delay..

It would show on the original paypal transaction. You would see a few extra lines on the page. I forget how it reads but it would look longer than normal. It shows the payment back on the card.

At this point, I would send an e-mail nicely reminding your seller that
she said she would refund you on the 2nd. It is now the 6th & you
need to know what is going on.

If you sent the item back with tracking, send her a copy of that as a reminder
thta it has been received.

If your seller is having any issues you would appreciate the courtesy of
a response wiithin 24 hours.

If you don't hear back, you might have to consider other options, IYKWIM

thank you!

i think i will do that in the morning or at least by tmr afternoon if i still have not heard from them or seen a refund has been issued.

Then your seller hasn't issued a refund.

Even though you paid through PP, when it's a c.c. refund, you don't get an email notice. But if the refund was done, it would show on your account.

The seller needs to keep her end of the promise.

Was this a partial refund or did you return an item? If there's a return involved and tracking to prove her receipt of the return, contact ebay or PP with the tracking number. If it's just a partial without a return, if the seller doesn't respond, open a dispute. That will get her attention.

You've been fair and patient and tried to handle it without a dispute but clearly, the seller isn't cooperating.
